Jackie & Tim // MV Skansonia Wedding

Last month I had the pleasure of photographing Jackie & Tim's wedding (happy one MONTH anniversary ;) And here is the blog to show you the lovely wedding that took place. I will start off with a little background, Jackie and I have been Facebook friends since college, as we had a class together. Fast forward to a couple years ago I saw that some of my friends - Danielle, Courtney and Chelsea tagged in photos with Jackie. Turns out Courtney and Jackie went to elementary school together. Long story short Courtney referred me to Jackie and we were able to make some magic happen on their engagement session, as well as their wedding day. If I could describe a dream couple I would just say - Jackie & Tim. They were so wonderful to work with-easy going, cutest dog ever, and I was so so so happy they chose me to capture their special day. They were so fun to work with, and their pup Bruce is the cutest Frenchie ever, as you will see in the images below. Jackie wore a beautiful Theia dress from The Dress Theory and the groom had an amazing custom made suit. Their first look took place at Gasworks Parks overlooking Lake Union. The ceremony and the awesome party/reception took place on the MV Skansonia. This was probably as Seattle of a wedding as one could get - MV Skansonia is a retired ferry boat that has been docked, and turned into a wedding venue. It's located in the North part of Lake Union with beautiful views of the city as well as the Space Needle. Delicious food during reception was made in house; dessert was in the form of delicious Hello Robin cookies (I LOVED that, you don't need a cake for your wedding - it usually goes to waste, cookies though? everyone loves cookies). During the reception guests were able to snap some fun photos at the SnapBar photobooth, which conveniently prints photos on the spot. The guests then were able to paste their photos in Jackie & Tim's guestbook - brilliant idea-you get a personal entry with a picture of your guests! Jackie & Tim had their first dance to a song that was performed by Tim's sister - it was such a personal touch to their ceremony. Party tunes were provided by DJ Kitman of Integral DJs and it was quite the dance party, that included a performance by the groom and his college buddies. You will see some action shots of this at the end of the blog. Enjoy!
