Happy Anniversary // Nicole & Trent, Lake Chelan

Happy one year anniversary to Nicole & Trent!

Last year I had the pleasure of working with Nicole and Trent, and I was able to document their beautiful Lake Chelan wedding. It was quite the day, as you will find out in just a couple of moments. Their wedding ceremony was initially going to take place at the Rio Vista winery which is located on the Columbia River. Unfortunately due to the fires that were taking place in Chelan last year at this time, they had to find a new wedding venue the day of their wedding. Literally, day of the wedding your venue doesn’t have electricity or running water and is surrounded by multiple areas of fire. Just imagine yourself in that situation… Nicole through all of that craziness was the calmest bride ever and just went along with the new plan that their friends and family were able to put together, along with the help of Rio Vista staff. Nicole and Trent were fortunate enough, that a family friend has a lovely house on Lake Entiat / Columbia River, just 15 minutes away from the original venue, with a large yard and waterfront access. They were able to accommodate their festivities. The ceremony took place right on the waterfront and dinner was held in the backyard, along with dancing on the deck. Rio Vista staff was wonderful and relocated all the tables, decorations and everything else from the original venue, to the house on the river. If you showed up to their wedding you wouldn’t even know that it all came together just a couple hours beforehand with a last minute venue change.

Chelan is such a gorgeous area to have a wedding, whether it’s on the Columbia River, on Lake Chelan or at any of their beautiful wineries - the backdrops are always to die for! Whether you’re thinking of throwing a large affair, or a small intimate wedding the Lake Chelan wineries have such a variety you will find the perfect spot for a wedding there.
