Polish Wedding // Cle Elum, WA

It's finally here, my blog post on Mike & Monika's beautiful Cle Elum wedding at the Swiftwater Cellars, at the Suncadia Resort, that took place at the end of April of this year. The weather turned out to be just right - there was no rain and the sun even came out. All of the details in the wedding were thoughtfully planned by the bride and groom - and some of them were handmade! Wait till you see the gorgeous paper backdrop that the bride created along with the help of friends and family. I have known Monika for few years, through the Seattle Polish community. She ensured the wedding was true to her Polish roots and the traditions reminded me of home. From a blessing by her parents prior to the ceremony, to the traditional Polish bread breaking, as well as some vodka shots. Polish music was also present and the dancing never ending. Even though I was there to document it I felt as I was back home in Poland. The night before Monika's mom prepared a feast for the rehearsal dinner - if you know or have a Polish mom, you know what that means There was an abundance of delicious Polish food!
